The Jared Box Project is pleased to announce the appointment of four new Board members,

Danyell Bundy
As the Director of Operations and Major Gifts for Penn Highlands Healthcare, Danyell is
responsible for planning, facilitating and managing various activities and programs that support
the operations, fundraising priorities, and special projects for the Penn Highlands Healthcare
system.
“As part of my role at Penn Highlands Healthcare, I am committed to the communities in which
we serve. Therefore, it is an honor and a privilege to serve on the Jared Box Project Board of
Directors. For more than twenty years, Jared Boxes have delivered countless smiles and hope
to children across the country in honor of the late Jared McMullen. He was a brave and
compassionate boy, whose spirit is continually celebrated. With that, I look forward to
continuing to help the Jared Box Project continue its valuable work of play, well wishes, hope,
and love across the country,“ said Danyell Bundy.
Maureen KarstetterMaureen works for their family business, Karstetter Insurance Agency, and has enjoyed
healthcare consulting as well. For over 21 years, Vice President of Marketing/Communications
& Community Outreach and Senior Executive Communications Advisor for Mount Nittany
Health.
Maureen Karstetter shared, “Ever since my daughter, Meghan, was kindergarten classmates
with Jared, I have always admired the McMullen family and the kindness and compassion that
Jared showed for other children. Born in his compassion, and with humble beginnings, it is so
impressive how The Jared Box has grown to nearly a million boxes distributed to children
across the country (and likely many that we don’t know about)! I am honored to be joining The
Jared Box board and look forward to helping further this wonderful mission.
