Position Summary
This is a part-time position that is currently funded for two years. The Communications and Outreach Coordinator will plan, coordinate, and execute an outreach plan designed to broaden the reach of The Jared Box Project (TJBP). This person will work to establish TJBP in more hospital networks across the country. As new hospitals are added, outreach efforts will be made in that new community to raise awareness about TJBP. This position will facilitate the relationship between the hospitals and community members.
Responsibilities include:
- Communicating with hospitals to see if they would like to receive Jared Boxes
- Identifying service organizations, groups, and businesses to make Jared Boxes for the requesting hospitals
- Guiding groups in making and delivering Jared Boxes throughout the process
The Communications and Outreach Coordinator will develop an Outreach Guidebook with detailed instructions, email templates, outreach steps, and tracking processes. This will open opportunities for interns to help with our outreach efforts.
Traits/Skills of the Ideal Candidate
- Passionate about the mission of The Jared Box Project
- Experience/knowledge in the following areas: marketing, communications, healthcare administration or project management
- Superb communication, writing, and presentation skills
- Able to work independently
- Able to keep track of multiple outreach efforts at one time
- Experience with Google Workspace
- Detail-oriented
Other Details
Part-time, 20 to 25 hours per week. $15 per hour.
This role will report directly to the Executive Director and will meet in person, ideally weekly, in State College, PA. Laptop will be provided if needed. Hybrid position.
